I'm a motivated and accomplished communications
professional with wide-ranging experience and a track record
of success.

A former regional journalist, I've since led a vast range of PR and copywriting projects, for both print and digital platforms.

I've worked extensively in trade sectors and have secured impressive and even record results for a diverse range of clients.
I have achieved widespread coverage with press releases and case studies, features and thought-leadership articles and produced a variety of compelling and informative copy for websites, newsletters and brochures.
I’ve secured more than a dozen national and regional awards for clients and have also led successful social media projects.
I'm a well-organised operator who’s versatile and flexible and who thrives on achieving the best possible results.
I have great people skills and an extensive list of media contacts, while my experience of managing multiple tasks and working to deadlines means I'm also able to maintain a keen eye for detail under pressure.

Away from work, I’m a very keen but worse than average golfer, I enjoy long walks with my dogs and attend weekly ballroom classes – my wife and I have even danced at the Blackpool Tower Ballroom!

I’ve provided high-quality, professional editorial services to clients in a wide variety of industries.

From press releases and features to website copy and award entries, from corporate literature and newsletters to social media and proofreading projects.

I specialise in trade sectors – including the automotive and fleet industries, transport & logistics, manufacturing and engineering – and have delivered successful campaigns and initiatives for major UK companies as well as dozens of SMEs and sole traders.

I have also delivered quality freelance projects for PR agencies, marketing companies and web design businesses.

Previously, I spent 30 years as a journalist – 14 of those at The Sentinel in Stoke-on-Trent, where I was a reporter and sub editor.
